Extension of the period of the temporary closure.
Museums have been temporary closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will extend the period for the time due to the request from the government.

Temporary Closure;
In compliance with Japan's national health authorities, the National Museum of Nature and Science (NMNS) is temporary closed.
The NMNS at Tokyo Ueno, the Institute for Nature Study at Tokyo Shirokanedai and the Tsukuba Botanical Garden are closed from Saturday 29 February 2020 to Monday 16 March 2020, to prevent the spread of the new corona-virus (COVID-19).
